Christmas - Bing Crosby style - seems to have arrived three weeks early. Gave up trying to get in to the shop today, apologies if anyone with an emergency requirement for cider or some Christmas shopping braved the drifts down Brogdale Road only to find we'd wimped out! So walked the dog the length of Tankerton promenade instead, dodging the sledges and teenagers on tin trays hurtling down the slopes between the beach huts at 40 mph to land in an icy heap on the beach. Then spent 2 hours 43 minutes watching '2012', a bit far-fetched but put 13cm of snow into perspective. Oh well, just time to put the kettle on and make a peanut butter sandwich before coming over all virtuous and starting the November accounts. Stay warm and hope to see you all on Sunday when you come to watch (and join in with) the Boughton Monchelsea Morris Dancers, have a cup of mulled cider, take the kids on the train to see Santa at his grotto in the orchards, and pick up your Christmas tree (Kent-grown ones - fair trade all the way!).
